In 2000, seven friends began a private beer tasting club called “The Order of the Drunken Sparrow” or Het Nest. Every m onth, each m em ber needed to bring in two beers for the group to try. There could never be a repeated beer. One thing led to another and they began hom ebrewing together a few years later. Things progressed and they began having their beer contract brewed in 2013. The success of these beers led to the opening of their own brewery in 2015. Brouwerij Het Nest is located in Oud Turnhout, Belgium . The town is known as the playing card capital of the world, a tradition that is reflected in brewery’s branding
